Sell these cute Valentine-grams. Kids can purchase them, write a personal message to attach (if they choose to) and\u00a0have them delivered to their recipient on Valentine&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You will need:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Small plastic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andersons.com\/School-Supplies\/classroom-craft-projects\/Plastic-Shovel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shovels <\/a>in any color (consider your school colors)<br \/>\n\u2022 Your favorite valentine treats or candies<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andersons.com\/Decorations\/Decorating-Supplies\/Tinsel-and-Tissue\/Color-Clearphane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clear cellophane<\/a>, cut into 10\u201d squares, or small plastic bags<br \/>\n\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andersons.com\/Decorations\/decorating-materials\/decorating-basics\/3-8-in-Decorating-Curling-Ribbon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ribbon<\/a> in any size or color you like.<br \/>\n\u2022 Paint pen or permanent marker (in contrasting color to the shovel).<br \/>\n\u2022 Small note or card for the students to personalize their Valentine<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong><br \/>\nWith a marker, write \u201c<strong>I Dig You!<\/strong>\u201d on each shovel, as pictured. If desired, decorate with Heart Stickers or other valentine decorations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong><br \/>\nCut cellophane into a 10&#8243; square. Wrap a small amount of Valentine&#8217;s candy with the cut cellophane. Tie candy bag with ribbon to handle of plastic shovel.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.andersons.com\/School-Supplies\/classroom-craft-projects\/Plastic-Shovel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u00a0<\/a>Variations:<\/strong><br \/>\nWho says only pink and red are appropriate for Valentine\u2019s Day? Get creative with different colored <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andersons.com\/School-Supplies\/classroom-craft-projects\/Plastic-Shovel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shovels<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andersons.com\/Decorations\/Decorating-Supplies\/Tinsel-and-Tissue\/Color-Clearphane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cellophane<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andersons.com\/Decorations\/decorating-materials\/decorating-basics\/3-8-in-Decorating-Curling-Ribbon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ribbon<\/a>.\u00a0Use your school colors or mix it up with a variety of colors. Another option is to have each shovel color represent something different, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blue &#8211; Teammate<\/li>\n<li>White &#8211; Friendship<\/li>\n<li>Green &#8211; Best Friend<\/li>\n<li>Pink &#8211; Secret Admirer<\/li>\n<li>Red &#8211; Love<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For treats consider candy hearts, jelly beans, gummy bears or any small candies.<\/p>\n<p>Have fun with it, and let your students help plan the details.
