PBIS <\/strong>is a program to encourage positive behaviors in schools. Originally developed for use in special education, it is rapidly becoming known for the school-wide program to encourage positive behavior in all students.<\/div>\n

Commonly called School-Wide PBIS, or SWPBS the program works to improve student academic and behavior outcomes. It provides an operational framework for achieving these outcomes. SWPBS is not a curriculum, intervention or practice, but it is a decision making framework that guides selection, integration and implementation of the best evidence-based academic and behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavior outcomes for all students.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>A\u00a0component of the program is Bullying prevention.\u00a0\u00a0Online tools and\u00a0resources are available through the website.\u00a0Even if you choose not to use SWPBS, the bullying prevention program is a great piece to incorporate into any school or classroom.<\/p>\n
