The story of Anderson's began in 1968 when Charles B. Anderson purchased the Walter's Company, a modest direct-mail organization located in Waseca, Minnesota. Originally a 32-page prom and decorating catalog, Walter's was mailed to high schools throughout the country. Charles Anderson renamed the catalog Anderson's, and because of its rapid growth within the next three years, he decided to move the company to White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
In 1969, the Anderson's Prom Catalog was first printed in color. In 1977, Mr. Anderson, encouraged by the company's continuing growth, decided to publish a companion Homecoming Catalog that would service the Homecoming needs of high schools across the country. Soon the catalog, which had originally specialized in decorations, began to offer imprinted glassware, frames, candles and invitations, as well as key chains and a lasrge selection of prom themes.
During the last 23 years, Anderson's has continued to expand its product line to service the unique needs of elementary schools, middle schools, cheerleaders, pep squads and booster clubs, as well as provide products for post-prom and graduation parties and holiday celebrations.
